Perspective is defined by where you sit at the table. Over the course of my career, I have occupied every seat: the parent fighting for her children’s rights, the special education teacher serving the full spectrum of needs, the district representative overseeing service implementation, and now, the advocate dedicated to centering the voices of families and students.
My journey began in the most challenging seat of all—the parent’s chair. I learned firsthand that the special education system is often a labyrinth, designed more for compliance than for individual success. That early experience was my crucible; it transformed confusion into determination. I know the weight of the silence in those meetings, and I know the profound relief when a barrier is finally lifted.
Today, I use the full map of that table. I don’t just advise; I interpret. I bridge the gap between institutional policy and the individual child. My mission is simple: to transform the isolation of the special education process into a collaborative partnership, ensuring that every student is seen, supported, and positioned to thrive.

STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP
Your child is struggling to earn average grades to pass their classes, even with significant support from you, yet your school district deems your child ineligible for special education services.

Not "Far Enough Behind"
School states that they will not assess your child for a disability until they are 2 years academically behind, or your district has denied your child special education eligibility after waiting.
IEP Services Not Offered
You’ve been told, “We don’t offer that here. This is all we offer.” “We know you want an independent education evaluation, but we get to assess again first.” “Your child is not entitled to an extended school year (ESY) if he or she is in this class.”

Diagnosed, But Not Eligible
You were told, "We think your child should be in a different class because of his or her behaviors." Your child has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, but the school district says they are not eligible to receive special education services.

Reduced Services
Instead of offering additional options to help your child succeed, the school has reduced or eliminated the services previously offered.

Not Providing Tailored IEP Services
Do you wonder if your child’s goals are calibrated to provide meaningful growth? Do you question whether the IEP developed for your child has been designed to fit the specific, unique needs of your child? As a parent, are you unfamiliar with the timelines related to each step of the IEP process?
Purchase a guide or document review before booking so your consultation can focus on your child’s records and next steps.
